Concept Statement

We design the future of the nursing home. In 2052, the nursing home will break the traditional confinement and claustrophobic environment and achieve real interconnection and communication with the outside world. Nursing homes can be networked with other nursing homes in different countries, and the elderly can interact with other elderly people from different backgrounds through MR, so that they can enjoy traveling and making friends in different countries in the nursing home, thus enriching the elderly’s life in their later years. We also believed that music can be helpful for them to bring up old memories. They can share their memories with others in the Virtual online concert.

For many elderly people, the nursing home is the last home before their end of life. Some of them are afraid to go out because they are worried about their physical condition, so they are stuck in the nursing home and feel disconnected from the outside world. We are committed to creating a human-centered elderly care service that makes the elderly can feel the warmth of home in the nursing home, so as not to resist entering the nursing home, reducing the burden on their family and friends. Therefore, they can enjoy their own life with fewer worries. We created a VR experience, where elders can enter, interact and experience the world with other nurses across different locations.
