Aamil, Xuhui, and Aamil aimed to create a virtual museum which has dedicated rooms for different cultures with musical instruments from those cultures inside it. Unlike the limitations of physical museums, virtual museums provide an opportunity to see these artifacts up close and listen to what they sound like.

Concept Statement

History is important because it connects us to specific times, places, and events that were significant milestones in our collective past. Museums play a crucial role in preserving local culture. It can be shared and understood by those from different cultural backgrounds. However, music is an expressive language of culture, it also reflects the cultural characteristics of a society. Every civilization has generated music throughout history, and every community has utilized that music to identify itself.

Every culture has its own kind of music and musical instruments. Some of these musical instruments have become a thing of the past and it is important to educate people about such instruments in order to preserve culture and create a well-informed society.

Therefore, We aimed to create a virtual museum which has dedicated rooms for different cultures with musical instruments from those cultures inside it. Unlike the limitations of physical museums, virtual museums provide an opportunity to see these artifacts up close and listen to what they sound like. People would be able to learn basic rhythms of these instruments, the hand gestures when playing and also the history behind them all in one place regardless of their own geographical location.
